Mace Powder- by the ounce


Mace and nutmeg are from the same tree, which is a large evergreen native to the Moluku Islands and the East Indian Archipelago. Mace is sweeter and lighter in flavor than nutmeg and has additional complexity to its flavor. Like nutmeg, mace is used sparingly and is most often used as a dessert spice, especially for cakes, cookies, and pies.
